UPS Types & Applications
SOHO - Line Interactive UPS
A Line Interactive UPS of 1200VA or less is suitable for a small office or home environment where it is required to provide power protection for one or a few computers and say a modem router. The Line Interactive UPS will provide protection against some under voltage and over voltage situations. It will typically provide an uninterrupted power supply for 5 to 10 minutes. This is usually enough time for the computer to perform an orderly shutdown of the software and the computer. This is managed by use of the supplied software via a USB port to the UPS.
Line Interactive AVR - Pure Sine Wave UPS
The commercial range of Line Interactive UPS are suitable for most commercial and some industrial applications within their available capacities. The Pure Sine Wave output make them suitable for most types of electronic and electrical equipment. These are microprocessor controlled, can tolerate a greater range of input voltage variation and have the option of SNMP for remote monitoring and control. They are available in several sizes and configurations.
True Online UPS
True Online UPS provide superior quality power and higher levels of power protection than other types of Uninterruptible Power Supplies. Under normal operation the connected equipment is protected against under voltage, over voltage, variations in frequency, distortion, line noise and several other power conditions that can affect lesser types of UPS. The extra wide input voltage range often makes them the UPS of choice. The superior protection provided by True Online UPS make them the UPS of choice for sensitive equipment, or ordinary equipment in harsh environments or where protection of a valuable investment cannot be risked by the selection of a lesser type of UPS.
Single Phase Long Run UPS
Long Run UPS are indicated where the level of power required (VA) is not necessarily high but power is required to be available for extended periods of time. These UPS are often used for VOIP systems, PABX Telephone systems or Security applications. The Single Phase UPS are available in Long Run models in both Tower and Rack Mount configurations and are available in both types of UPS - Line Interactive & True Online. The Long Run models achieve extended run times due to the addition of additional battery banks. Single Phase Long Run UPS are available in models from 700VA to 10kVA.
Rack Mount UPS
Our Rack Mount UPS are available in both Line Interactive and True Online types of UPS. They are available in sizes from 700VA to 6kVA and also include some long run models.
Three Phase UPS
We supply 3 Phase UPS from 10kVA to 320kVA. The larger models include Galvanic Isolation and can handle 100% unbalanced loads.
